Product Change NotificationThis letter is to announce a product change affecting the following Maxim Silencers standard products lines: MUL, M, MSA and MT. Maxim Silencers has reengineered models M, MSA and MT to accommodate new engine technology and stricter noise requirements. With the new design comes the benefit of increased attenuation for the above noted models. New specifications will be available at www.maximsilencers.com as the date draws near. Please be confident these changes will only enhance performance. All other models remain unchanged and current literature is still applicable. In addition to the product change, Maxim Silencers is pleased to announce the release of new models with a higher attenuation to meet industry needs. The new models are Hospital Plus Grade M62 (35-50 dBA), Hospital Plus Grade Spark Arresting MSA55 (35-50 dBA) and Hospital Grade low pressure drop MT52 (35-42 dBA). Model MUL will no longer be available as such. It is superseded by new model M32 encompassing a full size range from 1” to 30”. Production of the new improved models will be effective July 1, 2009. Maxim will continue to support our legacy models for customers requiring an exact replacement. Retrofit projects requiring industry recognized MSA (spark arresting) and M51 (hospital grade) silencers will present no problem to the customer. In addition to the changes, new descriptive nomenclature guidelines are being released for all M series models; a price book with new part numbers will be available as the date draws near. The new model numbers along with new descriptive nomenclature guidelines are found on the following page. Our experienced inside sales representatives will help you through the ordering process and any questions you may have upon request for quote or placement of order. In the event of technical concerns regarding the change please contact myself and I will be pleased to discuss any concerns. We are confident that customers will benefit from this design change along with the release of new Hospital Plus Grade models. Maxim engineering is currently working on similar improvements to its Disc Type, Power Puck and Marine models. We look forward to introducing these improvements in late 2009. Mickey Wilburn
