Accessories available as modifications to stock silencers
include flexible connectors, companion flanges, mounting
brackets, cleanouts and spark boxes. In addition we offer
insulation, safety covers, diverter tees, wall thimbles,
rain caps and elbows.

Flexible Connectors |
|
Flexible connectors help protect
the silencer and engine from forces at the inlet
connection due to high temperatures and fluctuations
in exhaust flow rates. We can provide connections
from CAT engines to standard plate flanges and also
connect from one size to another.

Mounting Brackets and Supports |
|
Mounting brackets and supports can be provided in
any configuration that you need to fit your

Clean Outs |
Spark Boxes |
|
A clean out is an external plate
that is bolted onto the shell of the silencer (one
for each chamber) that can be removed in order to
clean the internals of any debris or particles that
may have been built up inside the silencer. |
Spark Boxes are connected to the outside drain
connection of the carbon collectors of our
spark-arresting silencers. They can be easily
removed and emptied when they are full. |

Companion Flanges |
|
Companion flanges are welded on to
exhaust piping and bolted to Maxim silencers. In
addition to the companion flange we also provide
nuts, bolts and gaskets to help insure a successful
installation. |

Wall Thimbles |
|
Wall thimbles are used on exhaust systems
where you wish to divert some of the exhaust
heat through a wall. In order to facilitate
the quotation process we will need to know
the thickness of the wall. |

Finishes |
|
Exterior surfaces protected by a high
temperature corrosion resistant black
coating. Optional finishes are available.
Popular special paint options are
inorganic zinc paint applied over
sandblasted surface, high temperature
aluminum and even metalized coatings. Other
customer requirements may be supplied upon
request. |

Rain Caps |
|
Rain caps prevent water from getting inside
the engine through the exhaust piping. They
are available in carbon and stainless steel.

|
|
Diverter Tees |
|
Diverter tees can be used to divert exhaust
flow as needed. Also available in carbon or
stainless steel. Note: The actuator is
provided but not the controller. |

|
Elbows |
|
We can supply long-radius, short-radius, 45
degree and 90 degree elbows. Elbows are
available in carbon and stainless steel. |

|
|
Insulation |
We can provide blanket insulation or calcium
silicate encased with a water tight aluminum
jacked.
The blanket insulation is 1” thick and the
calcium silicate is 2” thick. Custom
thickness are available upon request. |
