An inlet baffle plate diverts the
engine exhaust flow from a direct path through the
catalyst bed
helping to reduce damages
from engine backfires.
The catalyst are standard sizes
(maximum panel weight 40#) monolithic
panels that allows gas to pass through
“herring bone channels” for maximum
contact producing greater efficiency.
Couplings are installed in the
inlet and outlet neck of the
catalytic unit for sampling ports.
The catalytic unit has an access
door installed in the end of the
converter allowing for easy access
to the catalyst bed without
disconnecting the exhaust piping or
compromising the integrity
of the unit.
